Overview Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an enthusiastic Sensor Fusion - Defence Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 04, 2026 to May 3, 2027. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our Aerospace & Defence team. This role will work closely with the industry experts in the group to do hands on investigation and testing of different technologies and ideas. Working with our experienced team of engineers you will gain valuable experience in sensor fusion positioning technologies. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is worked on-site and is based in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities As an Sensor Fusion - Defence Intern, responsibilities include: Investigate and learn to use and integrate different sensors Setup tests, collect data, and assist in the analysis; this will include physical test setup and execution in test vehicles Develop graphing or other analysis tools Develop and test features in defence firmware Write clear test reports and presentations Qualifications Must-Have: Registered in the Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed your 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term Enrolled in Electrical, Geomatics or Computer Engineering at an accredited post secondary institution Available for a minimum 12 month work term, 37.5 hours a week Strong academic credentials Strong communication skills, both oral and written Strong debugging and problem solving skills Key Success Factors: Able to work in a collaborative team environment Confident Self-starter Detail oriented and able to follow complex instructions with a “first-time right” attitude Motivated by challenging work Comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help Nice-to-Have: C++, Matlab, Python, or other scripting languages Basic GNSS understanding Hands on experience using lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and data logging programs Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
