Overview Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions, is looking for an Software Test Engineering Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 3, 2027 to May 1, 2028. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our growing Software Test Engineering (STE) team. This role offers you a chance to work hands-on alongside our STE team. Working with our experienced team of Software Test Designers you will gain valuable experience in Software Verification & Validation. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities As a Software Test Engineering Intern, you will: Design, execute and maintain verification and validation scripts written in Python Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system (Jenkins) Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data Refine functional and performance requirements for validation traceability Document test design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues for root cause analysis Participate in process improvement activities Qualifications Must-Have: Registered in the Computer Science or Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term Enrolled in Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer Software Engineering or any field related to software development at an accredited post-secondary institution Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative team environment Available for a minimum 12 month work term at our Calgary office location, 37.5 hours a week Strong academic credentials Valid class 5 driver’s license Key Success Factors: Respectful and confident self-starter with integrity, EQ & social intelligence skills Detail-oriented person able to follow complex instructions with a “first-time right” attitude and focus on quality deliverables Motivated by challenging work and you enjoy keeping busy You are comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help Excited by new technologies and new possibilities in autonomy and positioning Nice-to-Have: Interest in SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT VERIFICATION and/or data analysis Experience with CODING LANGUAGES, such as Python and/or C++ Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle Tools; such as GIT, JIRA, Jenkins & Test Case Management Tools ISTQB Certification Knowledge of GPS/GNSS/INS Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
