Role: Family Lawyer (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $140 - $400/hour Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Family Law Attorney with experience in high-stakes litigation to handle complex divorce, custody, and asset division cases. The role requires expertise in negotiating settlements and drafting legal documents for BigLaw clients. Prior experience in family law within a large firm is required. Key Responsibilities: • Represent clients in divorce proceedings, including asset division, spousal support, and child custody disputes. • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents in compliance with state and federal family law statutes. • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and support arguments in court. • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring favorable outcomes in mediation or arbitration. • Collaborate with senior attorneys to prepare for trials, including witness preparation and evidence review. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Active membership in a state bar association with a focus on family law. • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law in a BigLaw firm setting. • Strong proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. • Excellent written and oral communication skills for drafting motions and client interactions. • Ability to manage multiple high-priority cases with tight deadlines.
