Horizon is seeking an open, enthusiastic, experienced Electrical Technician (Hardware in the Loop / Power HIL). You will lead development of Horizon Aircraft test infrastructure that underpins our aircraft development programme. From component-level test benches to HIL, Power HIL, and Iron Bird environments, you will define, build, integrate, and operate the facilities used to verify aircraft systems, support certification activities, and enable safety of flight. Your Day-to-Day Fabricate, install, route, terminate, and test aircraft wiring harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings and aerospace wiring standards. Fabricate and install electrical panels, control cabinets, equipment racks, and wiring harnesses. Perform LV and HV electrical installations, cable routing, equipment interconnections, and power distribution activities. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and assembly instructions. Carry out fabrication, fitting, assembly, and installation activities in support of test benches, rigs, and laboratory facilities using hand and power tools. Perform continuity testing, fault finding, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and test systems. Interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and engineering documentation to support fabrication and installation activities. The ideal candidates are likely to have the following background: Demonstrated experience (7+ years) in an Electrical Technician role from aerospace or automotive, having worked across all phases of the lifecycle. Ideally you would have hands on experience with development of HIL/PHIL test environments used to support compliance demonstration activities with TCCA, FAA, and EASA. About Your Future Team.
