In this pivotal role, you will design and develop scalable, record-centric applications using the Appian platform, translating complex business requirements into functional technical solutions. You will lead design discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers, ensuring best practices and high-quality code standards are maintained. Your expertise will help optimize performance, security, and scalability across all deployments, supporting ongoing improvement initiatives and operational stability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using the Appian low-code platform Build scalable, record-centric applications following Appian best practices Develop SAIL interfaces, process models, records, reports, and integrations Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical solutions Lead design discussions, review code, and ensure adherence to development standards Optimize application performance, security, and scalability Support deployments across Development, QA, and Production environments Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams Support UAT, production issues, and continuous process improvement initiatives Required Skills 6-8 years of experience designing and developing enterprise applications on the Appian platform Strong proficiency in building record-centric applications, SAIL interfaces, process models, reports, and integrations Deep understanding of Appian best practices and development standards Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Experience supporting Dev, QA, and Production environments Proven analytical skills and a collaborative mindset Nice To Have Skills Leadership experience, including managing small development teams and owning module delivery Ability to conduct code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship sessions Familiarity with SDLC, governance, and release planning processes Knowledge of DevOps practices and complex integration scenarios Preferred Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Appian development in enterprise environments Other Requirements Located in or willing to commute to Toronto, ON Ability to work four days per week in the office as part of our hybrid model Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams If you’re ready to leverage your Appian expertise to drive meaningful business outcomes and grow your career in a vibrant, supportive environment, we want to hear from you.
