Client Service Representative – Farm and Commercial Lines Location: Lindsay/Cobourg Office - This is an essential position to be in office 5 days per week (possibility to work at both locations) Salary Range: $56,400 – $84,600 (commensurate with experience and qualifications) Reports to: Manager of Business Development Join Our Team We're looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Client Service Representative to join our Agent Department. In this role, you'll provide exceptional service to our policyholders while supporting the servicing, retention, and renewal of automobile, property, and farm insurance policies. This is an office-based position and regular attendance in the office five (5) days per week is an essential requirement of the role. What You'll Do Client Service & Relationship Management Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous service by phone, email, and in person. Respond to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage, billing, claims, and policy changes. Build and maintain strong client relationships to support client retention and identify cross-selling opportunities. Educate clients on available coverages, policy updates, and risk management recommendations. Policy Administration Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy transactions using the Cognition+ system. Review policies for accuracy and completeness. Prepare certificates of insurance, liability slips, pink slips, and proof of insurance documentation. Maintain accurate client records and documentation. Work closely with the Underwriting Department to obtain approvals and process policy updates. Ensure claims documentation and reporting meet company standards. Review inspection reports and photographs, communicating with clients regarding underwriting concerns when required. Team Collaboration Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Attend industry-related seminars and events. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications College diploma or university degree. General Insurance (Other Than Life) License (RIBO). Minimum 3–5 years of customer service experience, preferably within the insurance industry. Experience with property, automobile, farm, or commercial insurance. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation. Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. Experience working within the Mutual insurance system. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate: Knowledge of Ontario insurance regulations and Mutual insurance practices. Understanding of insurance wordings and rating manuals. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. A positive, proactive, customer-first attitude. The ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines. Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information. Working Relationships You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across: Agent Department Underwriting Claims Loss Control Finance You'll also interact regularly with policyholders, prospective clients, and industry partners.
