Who We Are: Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations, development properties and exploration activities across the Americas principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals. The Opportunity: We are seeking a Certified Welder for our Lalor Mine. Located near Snow Lake, Manitoba, it is a major, long-life operation primarily producing Zinc, Gold, Copper, Silver with ore processed at the nearby Stall and new Britannia Mills Schedule: The successful candidate will work 11.5hr steady dayshifts on a 7/7 (Wednesdays-Tuesdays), schedule. Please note this is not a FIFO opportunity, employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Snow Lake. To support you, we offer a fully equipped camp and a quarterly travel allowance.(some restrictions apply) Responsibilities: Welding repairs to mobile equipment, handrails, haul truck boxes and loader buckets. Prerequisites: Must be a Certified Welder Journeyperson Experience in mining is preferred but not necessary Compensation Package: Base Earnings: $48.50/hour (Certified),$49.59/hour (CWB ticket) - Production bonus: Additional $6.00-$8.00/hr on average - Shift Premiums: Saturday and Sunday+$1.00/hr - Nightshift: +$0.66/hr Profit sharing 100% Employer funded Health Benefits Coverage beginning day 1 of employment 100% Employer funded Defined Benefit Pension Plan Disability Insurance Employee Assistance Program Travel Allowance Hudbay is dedicated to providing equitable employment opportunities and encourages applicants of all experience levels to apply.
