About the role: Humans of HR is partnering with an established international financial services organisation on the appointment of a VP of Human Resources. This is a newly created, executive-level position as the organisation continues to expand its footprint in Canada, and will report directly to the Regional CEO with full ownership of the Canadian people function. Leading a team across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Employee Relations and Payroll, you'll shape and deliver the people strategy, build organisational capability, and ensure the HR function scales effectively as the business grows across new markets. This is an opportunity for a seasoned HR leader who's equally comfortable setting strategy in the boardroom and rolling up their sleeves operationally. You'll work closely with senior executives, influence key business decisions, and help build an engaged, high-performing workforce across multiple jurisdictions. What's a typical day look like? Lead and develop the global HR function across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and Employee Relations Partner with the Regional CEO and Executive Leadership Team on people strategy, organisational design and workforce planning Drive initiatives across leadership development, performance management, succession planning and employee engagement Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce risk Evolve HR processes, governance and operating models to support the organisation's continued growth in Canada and beyond Partner with leaders across the business to build capability and improve organisational effectiveness Champion a high-performance culture while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions About You: Proven experience leading an HR function within organisations of 300+ employees Strong international HR experience, with solid understanding of Canadian employment legislation Experience operating within both fast-growth and established organisations A strong background across HR strategy, Employee Relations, HR Operations, organisational design and change management The ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders while leading high-performing HR teams Experience within financial services, wealth management, or another regulated industry will be highly regarded Bilingual - Fluency in both Mandarin/Cantonese and English is essential If you're an experienced HR leader looking to make an impact at an executive level and drive employee engagement, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
