What you'll do:Lead the Meat Department Team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and brand. Manage the Meat Department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards, and overall expectations.Recruit, train, develop, coach, and motivate the Meat Department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results. Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality and safety standards.Perform team performance reviews and action plans for development.Manage inventory levels and lead scheduled inventory procedures. Develop sales promotion programs to grow the meat business.Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies.Develop and administer action plans to achieve the desired results of the business plan.Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial resultsOther duties as assigned. Who you are:Must have a minimum 1-3 years experience managing/supervising others.Previous retail or meat department experience is an asset.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
