About The Team You Are Joining Corporate Finance is part of the Corporate Services Division and serves as the organization's centre of excellence for financial governance, technical accounting, accounting policy, and financial oversight. The team partners closely with business leaders to provide practical guidance on complex transactions, strategic initiatives, and financial reporting matters. What Your Day Would Be Like The position combines deep IFRS expertise with strong business acumen to support strategic initiatives, complex transactions, and commercial decision-making. The successful candidate will be recognized as a trusted advisor who can translate technical accounting requirements into practical business solutions while promoting financial integrity and reporting excellence. Key Responsibilities Technical Accounting & Business Advisory Review complex contracts, commercial arrangements, and strategic transactions to assess accounting, financial reporting, and business implications. Provide practical advice to stakeholders on revenue recognition, contract structuring, financial risks, and IFRS requirements. Research and interpret accounting standards and emerging developments impacting the organization. Prepare technical accounting analyses, recommendations, and position papers for complex or non-routine matters. Partner with business leaders, Legal, Procurement, and operational teams to support informed decision-making and achieve business objectives. Strategic Initiatives & Finance Excellence Act as the Finance subject matter expert on strategic projects, transformation initiatives, and new business models. Assess financial reporting, governance, and operational implications of key initiatives and provide practical recommendations. Support the development and implementation of accounting policies, guidance, and best practices. Contribute to audit readiness, financial governance, and reporting quality across the organization. Identify opportunities to strengthen finance processes, controls, and reporting capabilities. We would love to hear from you if Required Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Deep technical expertise in IFRS, including experience interpreting and applying standards to complex and non-routine transactions. 10+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, accounting advisory, financial reporting, audit,corporate finance or controllership environments. Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and presenting accounting conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership, audit committees, or external auditors. Proven experience assessing and advising on commercial agreements, business arrangements, and strategic initiatives. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-financial audiences. Demonstrated ability to balance accounting requirements with practical business considerations in a complex organization. Fluent in English; additional languages an asset. Preferred Combination of Big 4 experience (ideally in Accounting Advisory Services or a similar function) and relevant industry experience. Experience in a multinational or global organization. Experience leading process improvement, transformation, automation initiatives, or ERP-related initiatives. Demonstrated experience translating accounting, reporting, and control requirements into finance system solutions, with exposure to SAP S/4HANA (SAP FICO), OneStream, Oracle, Workday, or comparable enterprise platforms.
