THE OPPORTUNITY IDENTOS is hiring a Controller to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on finance leader who will personally own IDENTOS's day-to-day finance function (from month-end close, invoicing, AR/AP and payroll to financial reporting, modelling, forecasting, audit and compliance) reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CFO). WHAT YOU'LL DO Own full-cycle accounting and QuickBooks oversight, including invoicing, AR/AP, vendor payments, payroll administration, bank reconciliations and month-end close. Maintain weekly and monthly accounting workflows — transactions, receipts, bank reconciliations, EFT payments, contractor tracking and office expense tracking — and manage monthly payroll entry in collaboration with People Operations. Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports and updated forecasts, and build and maintain detailed revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, headcount and scenario models to support budgeting, forecasting and executive decision-making. Develop KPI dashboards and support board and management reporting. Support year-end audit and SR&ED filing, including preparation of working papers, and manage lender reporting. Lead annual budget development and ongoing budget vs. actual analysis, while strengthening internal controls, financial policies and risk monitoring. Manage project/SOW milestone billing, unbilled/deferred revenue and revenue recognition, and track AR and collection risk. Mentor and onboard junior finance/accounting staff, and improve reporting processes and adopt tools (including AI) for efficiency. WHAT YOU BRING Must-Have CPA designation 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least two years as a Controller or Assistant Controller Strong experience with full-cycle accounting, forecasting and financial reporting Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel/financial modelling Experience with lender reporting, audits, payroll and budget development Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial insights clearly Nice to Have Experience in a technology, SaaS or technology-enabled services company and milestone-based contracts, including unbilled and deferred revenue Familiarity with recurring revenue models, SR&ED and software economics OUR TOOLS & SYSTEMS QuickBooks Online · Advanced Excel / financial modelling · SR&ED working papers · Lender & board reporting WHY IDENTOS? “Humans-First” is one of our core principles.
