Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract opportunity with a leading organization in Mississauga. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home. The role has potential to convert into permanent. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience, exposure to complex accounting environments, and experience supporting ERP implementations or accounting-related projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements Perform complex account analysis and investigate variances and discrepancies Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Support financial reporting and ensure accuracy of accounting records Participate in ERP implementation, system upgrades and accounting-related projects Identify process improvements and support the implementation of new accounting processes Collaborate with internal teams on accounting, reporting and project-related initiatives Support audit requirements and other ad hoc accounting activities Requirements: 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience CPA/CA designation or currently pursuing CPA Strong experience in complex accounting environments Previous experience with ERP implementation, system upgrades or accounting-related projects Strong understanding of month-end/year-end close and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities 📍 Location: Mississauga, ON 🏢 Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote 📅 Duration: 6-Month Contract Interested?
