The team collaborates closely with physiotherapists, chiropractors, speech-language pathologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, and specialty doctors to address each client’s diverse needs. Role Description This full-time Occupational Therapist role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with a combination of in-clinic and work-from-home responsibilities. The Occupational Therapist will assess clients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, participation, and quality of life. Day-to-day tasks include conducting standardized and non-standardized assessments, implementing evidence-informed interventions, documenting progress, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. The role involves educating clients, families, and caregivers on strategies, equipment, and environmental modifications, as well as advocating for client needs within community, school, and healthcare settings. The Occupational Therapist will also participate in case conferences, contribute to program development, and engage in ongoing professional learning. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and outcome evaluation. Knowledge of Rehabilitation principles and functional recovery across physical, cognitive, and psychosocial domains. Understanding of Medicine and healthcare systems relevant to interdisciplinary collaboration and client care. Strong Communication skills for working with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members. Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including supporting children and youth in home, school, and community settings. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current registration and good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body (e.g., COTO) and eligibility to practice in Ontario. Ability to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and use electronic documentation systems efficiently. Demonstrated commitment to client-centered care, cultural humility, and inclusive, non-discriminatory practice. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for community visits within the Greater Toronto Area is an asset.
