Imagine helping school boards create digital experiences that students, families, and staff rely on every day, while working alongside designers, developers, and education professionals to build websites that are accessible, responsive, and reliable. We're looking for a Junior Front-End Web Developer who is eager to learn, passionate about building for the web, and excited to develop their technical skills. The right individual will support the delivery of school board websites by implementing responsive layouts, migrating content, building pages, and assisting with website launches, while working closely with senior team members who provide guidance throughout the process. An ideal team member at Imagine Everything is detail-oriented, collaborative, and curious. They enjoy bringing approved designs to life through thoughtful implementation and understand that great digital experiences are built through consistency, accessibility, and continuous improvement. You approach front-end development as a balance of technical execution, user experience, accessibility, and modern tooling, using AI where it helps and your own judgment where it matters most. Expectations Build and configure responsive, accessible websites using Imagine Everything's Content Manager platform Implement page layouts and front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while continuing to develop modern front-end development skills Support content migration, page building, website launches, and ongoing website updates across school board projects Help ensure websites meet accessibility standards, responsive design requirements, and established development patterns Participate in quality assurance activities, troubleshoot front-end issues, and resolve visual inconsistencies identified through testing and project feedback Comfortable receiving feedback, working within established development processes, and collaborating with designers, developers, and school board partners Comfortable working with AI-assisted development workflows and using modern tools to support code generation, debugging, accessibility reviews, content preparation, and production tasks while continuing to develop strong technical judgment Interested in continuously developing skills in front-end development, accessibility, responsive design, website performance, and user experience Requirements Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Familiarity with responsive web development principles and modern browser standards Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of accessibility standards and front-end development best practices Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and consistency Ability to travel for professional development, conferences, team events, and occasional on-site meetings Bonus points if you enjoy tracking down elusive CSS bugs or appreciate clean, well-organized code Experience working with content management systems is considered an asset Perks + Compensation Fully remote work Salary range of $45,000 – $60,000 CAD (based on experience) Flexible health spending account Unlimited paid time off in addition to mandatory vacation time An excellent environment to learn modern front-end development, accessibility, AI-assisted workflows, and digital experience best practices
