Role Description< /strong> The Construction Supervisor is a contract, on-site role based in Saint John, NB, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications. This role coordinates site crews and subcontractors, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and resolves issues that may affect timelines or quality. The Construction Supervisor conducts regular site inspections, enforces safety standards, and ensures compliance with building codes and company procedures. The position also involves clear communication with project managers, trades, and clients, maintaining accurate site documentation and contributing to efficient project delivery. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and Site Supervision experience to lead crews and manage day-to-day site operations. Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to coordinate with project stakeholders, provide updates, and address site concerns clearly and professionally. Candidates should possess Inspection and Construction Safety skills to perform quality checks, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulations. Relevant experience in commercial, industrial, or residential construction, including reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, is beneficial. A diploma or certification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is an asset. Proficiency in basic project reporting, site documentation, and use of construction management tools is preferred. Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, maintain professionalism, and uphold Imara Builders’ standards of quality and integrity.
