Are you an Actuarial Analyst looking for your next opportunity in the P&C space? We’re partnering with a well-established insurance carrier in Western Canada that is seeking a motivated Analyst to join its pricing team. This role offers a strong opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company’s commercial lines business through product pricing, market analysis, and evaluation of strategic initiatives. We’re considering candidates based in Edmonton, Calgary, or the Vancouver area who are able to commute to the office three days per week. The company provides comprehensive support for actuarial exams and the chance to work alongside an experienced pricing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to deepen their expertise and grow within commercial lines pricing. Compensation Competitive base salary: $85,000 to $110,000 (based on your experience) Benefits & Perks Paid time off, Personal days, sick days, and extra time off during the summer time Comprehensive benefits Support program to pursue your actuarial exam RRSP matching Responsibilities Analyze insurance pricing and rating approaches across personal and commercial products Help design and improve how prices are structured and applied Support the preparation of regulatory rate filings Work with the IT team to build and maintain systems used for pricing and reinsurance Develop models to forecast future insurance performance Gather and analyze data needed for reinsurance decisions Collaborate with internal teams to set appropriate pricing for products Prepare reports and insights for senior leadership Stay up to date on industry trends and share relevant updates with management Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives Communicate model findings in a clear, practical way that supports decision-making Qualifications Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or mathematics At least 2 CAS exams passed Experience pricing in P&C insurance Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and R At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
