Our client is a growing professional services organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join its Vancouver team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a public practice background, ideally in audit, who is looking to transition into a client-facing financial reporting role. The organization is open to candidates currently operating at the Manager level, as well as strong Senior Accountants ready to take the next step in their careers. The role provides exposure to a diverse portfolio of public-company clients across industries such as mining, cryptocurrency, technology, and entertainment, with companies listed primarily in Canada and the United States. About the Role Working closely with senior team members, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and support their accounting and external financial reporting requirements. Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 Key responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP. Preparing supporting schedules, financial statement notes, MD&A and other reporting materials. Preparing and reviewing cash flow statements and related documentation. Preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, purchase price allocations, and equity instruments. Coordinating internal and external financial reporting processes. Supporting the development and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting. Maintaining capitalization tables and related equity records. Building strong relationships with client management and serving as a key point of contact. Identifying accounting, reporting, and business risks and working with clients to address them. Supporting and mentoring junior team members. Collaborating with teams across multiple international offices. What We're Looking For Strong experience in accounting, audit and/or financial reporting. Public accounting experience, particularly in audit, is strongly preferred. Experience working with public companies or in complex financial reporting environments is an asset. Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP. Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and related disclosures. Exposure to technical accounting matters. CPA designation preferred; candidates nearing completion of their CPA may also be considered. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client relationships. Tagalog language skills would be considered an asset. Industry-specific experience is not required. The primary focus is on finding someone with strong accounting experience, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to adapt to a diverse client portfolio. Why Consider This Opportunity?
