Imperial Brady Canada, leading national distributor, has a job opening based in Calgary. This role is to provide outside Sales Representation in the Packaging segment within the Alberta geographic territory. To manage and grow a given territory, develop new markets and clients in order to increase sales profitability. Responsibilities: Identify, Prospect, Develop and Maintain a base portfolio of customers For existing customers, increase sales volume and profitability by providing professional consultative sales support, while identifying new opportunities and introducing new products. Developing and executing a call plan, performing business reviews, maintaining a full sales pipeline, monthly erosion analysis, price negotiation, vendor partnerships, quarterly customer stratification maintenance, new product introduction and execution of regional and national programs. Developing target accounts and industry segment growth strategies, specific needs analysis and new product introductions. Support and execution of Imperial Brady Canada directed marketing and operational initiatives. Support selected vendor programs, make calls with vendors, follow corporate direction on vendor contact and cost negotiation, support marketing initiatives and support online ordering. Provide price direction through market analysis, build and communicate quotes, support credit fucntions, manage appropriate inventory levels, ongoing customer price file maintenance, reporting to Sales Management, sourcing products, customer data base management (SalesForce), daily sales report analysis and order management (EDI/WEB). Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external customers and service providers. Provide input on best practices, policies and procedures with respect to the sales department and other service providers. Responsible for decisions relating to pricing structure/levels in relation to the profitability of your sales territory, within company established guidelines. Responsible to maintain customer sales activity in Imperial Brady Canada’s CRM tool (Salesforce.com) or other tools as mandated by the organization. To consistently achieve sales, margin and customer profitability targets. Follow internal procedures and make recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: A results oriented individual with a resilient and competitive nature Display strong problem solving acumen within a variety of environments and parameters. A sense of urgency coupled with a measured and professional business acumen. Ability to work collaboratively with a large number of internal and external customers, showing flexibility in meeting their individual needs. A strong character built on trust and integrity, self confident, self aware, and constantly seeking to increase personal and professional knowledge. Above average verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency Microsoft Office suite. Experience with SalesForce (or other CRM tools) an asset. A fully accessible vehicle and valid driver’s license free of any restrictions is required. Post-secondary education in sales/marketing with a minimum of 3 years business to business selling experience required. Industry experience (Packaging substrates, Distribution Sales, Food Processor or Industrial Manufacturing) is an asset. Working/Other Conditions: Daily regional travel (by own vehicle) with occasional overnight (10%) travel. The ability to work from home within a space free of distraction and access to a strong internet connection. Transition between office – home – mobile/remote work environments as required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prolong periods of sitting and/or driving, and computer and phone use.
