Job Overview The Technical Inside Sales Representative serves as a trusted technical and customer support resource for aftermarket products, parts, repairs, and service solutions across Western Canada. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and inside sales responsibilities to support distributors, OEMs, engineering firms, service providers, and end users. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Service teams to provide technical guidance, develop quotations, coordinate repair and field service activities, manage warranty claims, and support customers with troubleshooting and equipment-related inquiries. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for helping customers solve complex industrial equipment challenges. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical support resource for aftermarket customers, providing guidance on repairs, replacements, upgrades, and service solutions. Prepare and manage quotations for aftermarket parts, repairs, field service work, and industrial equipment solutions. Process customer purchase orders, generate order acknowledgments, create work orders, and support order fulfillment activities. Coordinate repair activities and field service projects with customers, technicians, operations teams, and service partners. Provide troubleshooting support for blower systems, controls, maintenance requirements, and operational issues. Evaluate warranty claims, manage Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes, and coordinate corrective actions when required. Identify replacement equipment options and recommend solutions for discontinued or obsolete products. Support customers with technical inquiries and product selection while delivering a high level of responsiveness and professionalism. Utilize ERP systems to manage quotes, orders, inventory transactions, backlogs, and customer records. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Service teams to ensure customer expectations are met and business objectives are achieved. Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates, ensuring customers remain informed throughout the process. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and service performance. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in technical inside sales, industrial customer service, aftermarket support, equipment service, or a related industrial environment. Experience supporting industrial, mechanical, or rotating equipment customers. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and deliver solutions in fast-paced situations. Experience preparing quotations, processing customer orders, creating work orders, and managing customer transactions. Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Epicor, or similar business systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn technical equipment, applications, and troubleshooting processes. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple customer requests while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through. Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline. Experience supporting aftermarket parts, repairs, warranties, or service operations. Background as a mechanic, millwright, industrial equipment technician, product support specialist, or industrial customer service representative. Experience with blower systems, compressors, pumps, rotating equipment, or related industrial technologies. Experience using Oracle ERP systems. What Makes a Successful Candidate?
