(PT) Supply School Van Drivers

Drive Safely. Build Relationships. Make Every Journey Count. InnovOak School is seeking reliable and professional Part-Time School Drivers to join our growing transportation team. This position is being created as a result of continued enrolment growth and the expansion of our student transportation program. We are currently seeking supply (fill-in) drivers who are available to provide coverage for regular route drivers during absences, school events, field trips, and periods of increased transportation demand. All drivers begin as supply drivers. As student enrolment continues to grow and new transportation routes are established, supply drivers will be given the first opportunity to move into permanent morning and afternoon routes. Successful candidates will transport students safely to and from school using one of InnovOak's school vehicles while providing a welcoming, dependable, and professional experience for students and families. This position is ideal for experienced professional passenger transportation drivers seeking flexible, part-time work, including retired school bus drivers, transit operators, airport shuttle and airport transportation drivers, dealership shuttle drivers, accessible transportation drivers, taxi drivers, and other professional passenger transportation operators. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of safely transporting passengers through documentation acceptable to InnovOak's commercial vehicle insurance provider. As InnovOak continues to grow, candidates holding or interested in obtaining a Class B licence will be well positioned as the school expands its transportation services and introduces larger school buses in the future. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Provide transportation coverage for regular route drivers during absences and scheduled leave. Drive morning and afternoon routes as assigned. Transport students safely to and from school using InnovOak school vehicles. Support transportation for field trips, school activities, and special events when required. Maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment for students while travelling. Operate school vehicles safely and confidently in all weather and road conditions. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all Ministry of Transportation requirements, school policies, and transportation procedures. Communicate professionally with school staff and families regarding transportation matters. Maintain accurate transportation records and required documentation. Represent InnovOak professionally at all times. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate: Places student safety above all else. Is calm, patient, dependable, and professional. Demonstrates safe and confident driving in all weather conditions, including winter driving. Is flexible and available to assist as transportation needs arise. Is punctual and understands the importance of reliable transportation. Builds positive relationships with students and families. Demonstrates sound judgement and strong situational awareness. Communicates professionally and works well as part of a team. Takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented vehicles. Qualifications Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence. Minimum of three years of insured passenger transportation driving experience. Must meet the eligibility requirements of InnovOak's commercial vehicle insurance provider. Must be able to provide documentation acceptable to the school's insurer demonstrating a minimum of three years of insured passenger transportation experience, such as employment records, insurance documentation, or other records required by the insurer. Clean driving record with a demonstrated history of safe vehicle operation. Comfortable driving school vehicles in varying traffic, road, and weather conditions. Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset. A valid Ontario Class B licence is considered a strong asset and will provide future opportunities as InnovOak expands its transportation program. Provide safe transportation for students to and from school, including coverage for absences and field trips. Maintain vehicle safety through daily inspections and adhere to all transportation policies and regulations.

Must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and at least three years of insured professional passenger transportation experience. A clean driving record and the ability to meet commercial insurance requirements are mandatory.
