About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness matter. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong follow-up. Record AP transactions, bank entries, and credit card entries. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare quarterly HST remittances. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Support year-end audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for tax filing. Contribute to ad hoc finance projects, including ERP implementation and process improvements. Partner with internal teams to help maintain organized, accurate, and efficient financial records. Qualifications University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable and month-end close; AR experience is an asset. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative. Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, or similar systems. Proficiency in Excel. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The Accountant will manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including recording transactions and performing bank and credit card reconciliations. Additionally, the role involves assisting with month-end close activities, HST remittances, and supporting year-end audits.

Candidates should possess a university degree or college diploma in Accounting or Finance and have 1–3 years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or Epicor and strong Excel skills are required.
