Senior Network Architect

Position: Lead Network Architect (Consulting) Type: 3-4 month contract to start Client: Enterprise consulting firm - End client Enterprise Airline Rate: 85-100/hr incorporated - flexible for senior candidates Location: Hybrid, 3-4 days on site Montreal - Flexible over time Required Skills & Experience -11+ years of enterprise network engineering experience. -4+ years in a Network Architect, Lead Engineer, or Design Authority role. -Strong experience leading network discovery and dependency-mapping initiatives. -Expertise with Cisco Meraki and enterprise networking environments. -Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, Spanning Tree, routing, and switching. -Strong firewall architecture and policy rationalization experience. -Experience designing enterprise-scale AWS networking solutions and hybrid cloud connectivity. -Proven experience overseeing network migrations, data center transformations, and cutovers. -Ability to create executive-level presentations and technical documentation. Nice to Have Skills & Experience -CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certification. -Experience with Palo Alto firewalls. -Knowledge of AWS networking services including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and hybrid architectures. -Exposure to network automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform. -French language skills. Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Lead Network Architect to support a large-scale enterprise transformation focused on data center exit and AWS cloud migration initiatives. This individual will serve as the design authority for all network-related activities, leading discovery efforts, assessing existing environments, and translating complex on-premises network architectures into secure, resilient AWS target-state designs. This is a highly client-facing role that requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to advise executive stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and provide strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate can independently lead discovery, assess network dependencies, and produce architecture designs that balance business, operational, and security requirements.

Serve as the design authority for a large-scale data center exit and AWS cloud migration. Lead network discovery efforts and translate on-premises architectures into secure, resilient AWS target-state designs.

Requires over 11 years of enterprise network engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a lead architect or design authority role. Expertise in Cisco Meraki, core routing protocols, and AWS hybrid cloud connectivity is essential.
