This is a remote position that you may work from anywhere in the province. Bien entendu, on parle français! At Inspectify, we are the world’s only vertically integrated property inspection and valuation platform. We are backed by some of the most prominent venture firms including Fundrise, Nine Four VC, Foundation VC and YCombinator (S20). Our platform streamlines home inspections and valuation through our network of over 2,000 inspector partners in the US and Canada. Our proprietary platform brings visibility and data regarding the properties owned by our customers. Our team is growing and we’re looking for an additional Senior React Native Developer to join our tech team. You will be part of the team responsible for building our inspection app and other customer-facing systems (React/GraphQL). These apps are used by more than a thousand inspectors each month. Responsibilities: Build new features and capabilities for our mobile inspection app (React Native) and web portals (React). Own the full development lifecycle from technical design and implementation through testing, code review, release and delivery. Identify technical opportunities and drive proposals to improve our platform, tooling and processes. Mentor and review the work of other engineers, raising the bar on code quality and technical decision making across the tech team. Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on the look out for new technologies that would help you and Inspectify be more successful. Partner closely with members of the Product, Operations, Sales and Customer Success teams to find answers and solutions for our users and to make our team more efficient. Collaborate with other engineers and technical leaders to elevate our engineering standards, best practices and refine our engineering culture. You Have: 5+ years of professional experience as a mobile engineer, with strong React Native expertise (Javascript/Typescript) building and shipping production apps. Experience with the Expo (EAS Build, OTA updates) or similar ecosystems. Experience building offline-first mobile experiences such as local data persistence, sync / conflict resolution and handling spotty connectivity. Comfort working with media heavy mobile features such as image / video capture, local media libraries, upload pipelines and platform permission quirks that come with them. Solid understanding of native iOS/Android build and release processes. Deep understanding of web fundamentals relevant to mobile apps such as HTTP, caching, cookies, GraphQL, API security. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies and modern application development. Experience with feature flagging (e.g. PostHog or equivalent) and observability tooling (e.g. Sentry) for crash visibility, performance monitoring and safely rolling out changes to production. Cloud infra experience (AWS, Heroku, GitHub, CircleCI or equivalents). Interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence that enable you to work closely with PM and engineering peers as well as code reviewing and mentoring. A desire to elevate the product, technology and your colleagues to the next level Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adjust quickly in a dynamic environment Bonus points if you: Experience with backend technologies, particularly Ruby on Rails (or similar). Are familiar with event and/or domain driven design patterns (e.g. domain events). Experience with testing automation tooling for mobile (e.g. Detox, Maestro or similar).
