Forestry Intern, Castlegar & Grand Forks, British Columbia Ready to take what you’re learning in school and put it to work? At Interfor, we’re looking for future leaders who are curious, hands-on, and eager to learn. You’ll work alongside experienced forestry professionals, build practical skills, and gain a better understanding of how planning, fieldwork, safety, and responsible forest management support our woodlands operations. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and learning how forests are managed from planning through operations, this could be the summer opportunity for you! This is an on-site internship with an anticipated start date in May. Ideally, you’ll be available for a 4 to 8 month term. We offer competitive compensation for interns, including: Salaries starting from $3,700 per month based on year in school Temporary living allowance for interns relocating to the area for the role. What You’ll Do Get hands-on exposure to forestry operations and sustainable forest management. Explore active worksites and learn how forests are planned, harvested, and regenerated. Use industry tools and technology, including GPS and mapping software. Support projects that help drive safe, efficient, and responsible operations. Learn from experienced professionals while building skills for your future career. What You Offer Enrolled in a Forestry related post-secondary degree or diploma program such as Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences and/or Conservation. Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations. Physically fit and have the ability to work in challenging weather and terrain conditions. Valid driver’s license required.
