Job Description And Responsibilities The Class 1 Driver, reporting to the Regional Manager, will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of scrap metal and containers to and from the facility. The Driver will operate roll-off bins, lugger bins, and Super B units, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, accurate documentation, and compliance with all company and industry safety requirements. Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including roll-off, lugger, and Super B units within a 160 KM radius of Camrose Transport scrap metal, containers, and related materials to and from the facility Complete pickups and deliveries accurately, safely, and on schedule Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with applicable safety requirements Maintain accurate records of trips, loads, pickups, deliveries, and other required documentation Follow all company policies, transportation regulations, and industry safety protocols Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members Report vehicle, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to management Maintain a clean and safe work environment Work independently while effectively managing routes, schedules, and time Perform other related duties as required Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalency required Valid Class 1 Driver’s License required Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred Experience operating roll-off bins, lugger bins, and Super B trailers is preferred Clean driving abstract required Previous experience in scrap metal recycling, waste management, transportation, or a related industry is considered an asset Knowledge of safe commercial vehicle operation, load securement, transportation regulations, and workplace safety requirements Demonstrated ability to safely operate Class 1 vehicles, including roll-off, lugger, and Super B units Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and maintaining equipment in good working condition Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete pickups and deliveries accurately and on schedule Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
