About the role: The Investing News Network is looking for a strong, versatile writer to create news and educational content for precious metals and mining investors. You'll interview analysts, executives, and other subject matter experts, and translate what you learn into clear, useful content for our audience. Writing is the core of the job. Interviewing and adapting written content into video scripts are the other two pillars. Key responsibilities: Write news and educational content. Produce articles, market updates, and long-form educational guides that help investors understand the precious metals and mining sector and make their own decisions. Conduct interviews. Speak with analysts, mining executives, and other subject matter experts by email, phone, and on camera to source material for articles and videos. Write video scripts. Convert articles and interview material into scripts for video. You won't edit videos yourself, but you'll need to supply the audio/visual material and direction an editor needs to build the final piece. Track the sector. Follow news and developments in precious metals and mining closely enough to identify and pitch timely story ideas. Maintain editorial standards. Keep writing clear, accurate, and well-sourced. Qualifications: Three to five years of professional writing or journalism experience — journalism, financial publishing, or content marketing backgrounds all considered. Comfortable interviewing people on the record, whether by email, phone, or on camera. Able to write for video: structuring a script, describing needed visuals, and communicating pacing to an editor. Hands-on video editing is not required. Knowledge of precious metals or mining is helpful, but not required — strong research skills and willingness to learn the sector are what matter most. Self-starter who can manage deadlines across both fast-turnaround news and longer educational pieces. Solid understanding of SEO and experience using CMS platforms.
