Location: Ames, IA Job Description The Training Specialist will play an integral role in developing Ag Leader’s aftermarket dealer network, OEM partnerships, and end users. As a part of Ag Leader’s Dealer Success team, this person will offer industry-leading, educational programming to Ag Leader customers through classroom, in-field, and on-line training. In this position you will be responsible for creating, revising and presenting training materials in a variety of formats and collaborating with colleagues outside the training team to incorporate new products and product enhancements into the training curriculum. The Right Person Will The right person will have a passion for educating and equipping Ag Leader dealers, OEM partners, and end users. This person is self-driven, works well with minimal direction, and is committed to continually improving the customer training experience. They bring hands-on experience with Ag Leader products, deep technical knowledge of precision agriculture, and the ability to deliver high-quality, technical training in a way customers understand and can apply, regardless of their prior experience level, along with mechanical skills and experience. Organization and attention to detail are key drivers of success in this role. Responsibilities Lead best-in-class training for Ag Leader customers, including dealers, OEM partners, growers, and colleagues. Develop content that clearly explains how to support and use Ag Leader products effectively, ensuring it is accessible to customers at every knowledge level. Develop and lead on-site dealer training events covering Ag Leader products, dealer tools, and resources. Assist with in-field Ag Leader product installation and demonstrations with new dealers. Attend planning sessions with the Dealer Success Manager and Territory Manager, and help define what success looks like for new dealers in year one, as requested. Thrive in a rapidly changing environment. Travel as needed on as little as two weeks’ notice; travel is not expected to exceed 25%. Other duties as assigned. Qualification/Skills Degree in Agriculture or related field. Hands-on experience using Ag Leader precision technology and software. Solid understanding of production agriculture, with hands-on mechanical skills and technical expertise. Knowledge and experience using Ag Leader internal and dealer systems, tools, and resources. Proven ability to deliver high-quality, technical training to both small and large audiences in a clear, engaging manner that customers can understand and apply, even with no prior product knowledge. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Strong team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams. Proven leadership, communication, and time management skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to manage daily responsibilities with minimal oversight. Highly organized, with strong attention to detail. Meets set deadlines and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.
