Job Overview The Transportation Planner Specialist II is responsible for driving tasks to completion and mentoring junior staff. This role requires a heightened level of autonomy and strong business acumen. Essential Functions Drive tasks to completion amidst ambiguity. Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on project management. Collaborate across functions to achieve business objectives. Engage in problem-solving and analytical thinking to address challenges as they arise. Manage transportation from origin to destination for clinical trial materials and other pharmaceutical products. Track and trace shipments across assigned lanes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to routing plans. Monitor carrier performance and resolve transportation-related issues. Develop and maintain routing strategies and lead-time management in ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Work closely with Clinical Supply Planning, Master Planning, Clinical Operations, Logistics, Trade Compliance, and external partners. Support initiatives and projects as a functional area expert (SME) for transportation processes. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Degree in a science or business function or equivalent experience. 2-3+ Years related industry experience in Clinical Trials or Pharmacy (preferred). 2-3+ Years related experience in Clinical Supplies – this could be from Supply Chain, Packaging, Distribution or IRT functions. Ability to demonstrate good project management skills. Ability to create effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to demonstrate effective communication and direction. Ability to problem solve. Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc). Proficient in the English language. Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
