Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Senior GenAI Developer for a long-term opportunity at Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Our Client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services. Position: Senior GenAI Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days in Office/week) Duration: Long-Term Open-Ended Contract Domain: Banking/Financial Services Mandatory skills – Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar). Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock — any combination). RAG experience (vector databases like Pinecone, OpenSearch, pgvector). Experience building reusable AI Harness/frameworks/platforms — i.e., designing components (prompt templates, retrieval pipelines, guardrails, evaluation). Hands-on use of Claude Code or a similar AI coding assistant (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in daily development work Docker / containerization basics. About Iris Software Inc. Develop and implement Generative AI solutions and reusable AI frameworks for a major Canadian bank. Design critical components including prompt templates, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation guardrails.

Requires extensive experience with LLM frameworks, RAG, and integrating various LLM APIs. Proficiency with vector databases and containerization tools like Docker is essential.
