Our direct end client which is one of the most trusted investment banks globally is urgently looking to hire Java Developer / Microservices Engineer – Downtown Toronto (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite). This is a Contract opportunity. Java Developer / Microservices Engineer Downtown Toronto (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite) Nature of Contract – Contract Role JOB DESCRIPTION: Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to build and enhance APIs and microservices for a Money Movement Services platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures, with a passion for developing scalable and high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot. Build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for money movement services. Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka streaming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and reliable applications. Optimize database interactions and ensure application performance. Required Experience & Skills 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Java development. Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and REST APIs. Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OCP principles). Proficiency in SQL and database design. Hands-on experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain. Knowledge of Money Movement, Payments, and Payment Rails ecosystems. Familiarity with high-volume transaction processing systems. Looking forward to hear from you...!!!
