Mechanical Simulation & Product Development Engineer Salary: $70,000-$110,000 Role Status: Current Openning Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing organization specializing in custom cable and cable system solutions for advanced industrial and technology applications. They are seeking a Mechanical Simulation & Product Development Engineer to help build in-house simulation and digital twin capabilities while supporting new product development. Responsibilities Develop and apply mechanical simulation models to evaluate stress, strain, motion, and product performance. Support the development and validation of digital twin and simulation capabilities for complex cable systems used in demanding motion applications. Create and modify 3D models using SolidWorks and integrate designs into advanced simulation environments. Compare simulation results with physical testing and manufacturing outcomes, refining models as required. Support cable design, product development, materials selection, and manufacturing considerations. Collaborate with R&D, testing, manufacturing, materials, and customer engineering teams. Provide technical support throughout the product development and introduction process. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Strong mechanical simulation experience with practical, hands-on engineering exposure. Strong SolidWorks experience. Experience with simulation tools such as COMSOL, IPS Cable Simulation, XFLEX, or similar. Understanding of simulation-to-reality validation, physical testing, and product development. Experience working with manufacturing or physical products; purely academic simulation experience will not be sufficient.
