Status: Open Role Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 SMT Programmer / Technician Overview Seeking an SMT Programmer/Technician to support the programming, setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of SMT production equipment in an electronics manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and update SMT machine programs for PCB assemblies. Support SMT equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers. Program and support SPI, AOI, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens. Perform first article verification and support new product introduction. Optimize equipment performance, OEE, utilization, and reflow profiles. Perform basic equipment and feeder maintenance and troubleshooting. Analyze defect and yield data and support root cause/corrective actions. Work with Engineering and Quality teams to improve SMT processes and yields. Support DFM reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Train and provide technical support to production operators. Qualifications 2-3+ years of SMT machine programming experience. Hands-on experience with SMT equipment and production troubleshooting. Experience with CAD/Gerber data, BOMs, component specifications, and machine programming. Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment debugging is an asset. Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement and quality systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Technical diploma/degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred. Work Environment Primarily on-site, Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
