The hourly pay range for this position is C$27.73 per hour - C$32 per hour . Working Hours The Working Hours for this Position are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm . Key Purpose The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and reliable operation of all building systems. They provide support for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems and infrastructure. The role is responsible for delivering corrective maintenance solutions, while also performing preventive maintenance activities and scheduled inspections to ensure all building systems operate safely and within regulatory compliance. This hands-on position responds to service requests and takes immediate action to resolve equipment breakdowns. This role ensures that all managed utilities and building systems meet operational specifications, documenting all actions taken. This position oversees the work of contractors to ensure work is completed safely and sufficiently while keeping the building operator, site operations manager, business stakeholders, and end users updated. Other duties as assigned. Success Criteria Maintain high uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency Maintain a high PM completion percentage Ensure all repairs and analysis are documented in CMMS Exemplify strong attendance and job performance Adhere to and promote all safety standards and regulatory compliance Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (French for Qc Province) Communicate effectively with clients, managers, coworkers, and stakeholders Maintains professional appearance, conduct, and communication Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of facility maintenance or trade-related experience Strong handyman and general maintenance skillset Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Operational understanding of elevators, vertical lifts, overhead doors, and escalators Experienced in LOTO safety lockout practices and safe maintenance procedures Skills & Knowledge Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Functional knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems Ability to use hand tools and maintenance shop equipment safely Capable of performing physically demanding tasks safely Familiarity with CMMS systems or the ability to learn Certifications or Training Canadian Red Seal certification in one of the following areas: Appliance Service Technician, Carpenter, Drywall Finisher and Plasterer, Plumber, or Painter and Decorator. A certificate in facilities would be a plus Key Accountabilities Demonstrates accountabilities for all repairs and PMs completed Oversee onsite contractor activity, escalating needs when necessary Be willing to grow and develop skills to support ongoing business needs Maintain clean shops and general workspace, ensuring spaces are organized Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operations and business Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
