Procurement Manager Location: Golden Horseshoe, Ontario Salary: $135,000 – $150,000 Industry: Nuclear / Advanced Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Opportunity itec group is representing a leading organization in the advanced manufacturing and nuclear sector in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong leadership experience who understands the complexities of highly regulated manufacturing environments. Experience within the nuclear sector would be a significant asset, particularly exposure to nuclear quality standards, codes, and procurement requirements. Responsibilities Lead and manage the procurement function, including strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, quality requirements, and project schedules. Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members. Manage supplier relationships, performance, pricing, delivery, and quality. Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and supply continuity. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams. Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical, commercial, and quality requirements. Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support audits and maintain appropriate procurement documentation and records. Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and long-term supplier arrangements. Monitor market conditions and develop strategies to mitigate supply-chain risks. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function. Qualifications 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, nuclear, or another highly regulated industry. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience. Professional designation such as SCMP, PMP, P.Eng., or another relevant professional designation. Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement best practices. Knowledge of CSA N285 and/or ASME Section III is strongly preferred. Nuclear-sector experience is a major asset. Strong understanding of quality requirements and documentation within regulated manufacturing environments. Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and senior leadership.
