RESPONSIBILITIES The Manufacturing Systems Co-op Student supports the Manufacturing Systems team in the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of manufacturing applications and digital transformation initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), industrial data platforms, reporting tools, and manufacturing operations teams. * Assist with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects. * Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for manufacturing systems and operational performance metrics. * Document business processes, user requirements, workflows, and system procedures. * Participate in system testing, validation, and issue tracking activities to ensure application quality and performance. * Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing system issues and provide first-level support to end users. * Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and IT teams on manufacturing systems initiatives and continuous improvement projects. * Assist in creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations using manufacturing and operational data. * Support the configuration, validation, and deployment of manufacturing system enhancements under the guidance of senior team members. * Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve system utilization, data quality, and business processes. * Learn and apply manufacturing systems, industrial data platforms, and digital manufacturing best practices. QUALIFICATIONS * Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Technology Management, or a related field. * Interest in manufacturing operations, automation, and digital transformation. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or reporting tools is an asset. * Basic understanding of SQL, databases, or programming is an asset. * Familiarity with MES, AVEVA PI, PARCview, RTDuet, ERP, or manufacturing systems is an asset.
