Playwright SDET

We're looking for an experienced SDET with strong Playwright and API automation skills to support cross-border banking project testing at a major Canadian bank. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable using AI-assisted tools to enhance test quality and productivity. What You'll Do Design, create, execute, and automate functional test cases for cross-border banking projects Perform dry runs of automated test cases including test data setup to ensure successful execution Collaborate closely with onshore resources, application teams, and QE team members to clarify test case and test data requirements Utilize Playwright for UI automation and Postman for API automation Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality What You Bring Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation Experience with API automation using Postman Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools for automation tasks Technical proficiency in relevant programming or scripting languages Strong ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams and communicate effectively Eligibility for a mandatory background check Nice to have Prior experience in banking or financial services testing environments Familiarity with cross-border payment or transaction testing scenarios Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines Work setup Onsite in Toronto, ON, 4 days per week In-person interview required 5+ month contract English proficiency required
