QA Automation Engineer

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong mobile testing experience to help transition manual testing flows into reliable, automated test suites. The ideal candidate is hands-on with modern automation frameworks, comfortable working independently, and curious about applying AI-assisted approaches to testing. What You'll Do Migrate manual testing flows to automated test suites focused on coverage, repeatability, and speed Audit existing manual test cases and prioritize high-impact, regression-prone flows for automation Implement maintainable test scripts using tools such as XCUITest, Detox, Appium, or Playwright (C#) Generate clear test reports including pass/fail results, screenshots, and logs on a regular cadence Integrate automated test runs into CI/CD pipelines so reports are produced on each build or pull request Track and report on automation coverage progress over time What You Bring Proven experience in QA automation with a strong focus on mobile testing Hands-on experience with one or more of Selenium, Appium, or Playwright (C#) Solid understanding of testing methodologies including unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently across teams Nice to have Experience with visual regression or smart UI testing tools such as Percy Familiarity with AI-assisted testing approaches including test generation, self-healing tests, or LLM-based triage Exposure to Model Context Protocol or agentic tooling in a QA context Work setup Toronto, ON 6+ month contract English proficiency required

The QA Automation Engineer will migrate manual testing flows to automated test suites and audit existing manual test cases for automation. They will implement maintainable test scripts and integrate automated test runs into CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in QA automation with a focus on mobile testing and hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Appium, or Playwright. A solid understanding of testing methodologies and experience with CI/CD integration is also required.
