J&R Hall Transport is currently seeking an organized, self-motivated individual for the position of full-time Heavy Duty (Truck and Trailer) Mechanic at our Winnipeg, MB terminal. With a fleet of 110 late model trucks and 300 trailers across Canada, our maintenance team plays a key role in maintaining our excellent safety rating. Responsibilities and Duties: Inspection, diagnosis and repair of trucks & trailers through preventative and scheduled maintenance Performing general vehicle repairs on electrical and/or pneumatic systems Ability to read and comprehend maintenance manuals Following company safety policies and procedures including the use of PPE Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Understand vehicle reports and use computer systems to enter work orders Document repairs on work orders and complete inspections sheets as required Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipment Qualifications Must hold a Truck and Trailer (Heavy Duty) Mechanic License Cooperative team player attitude with a positive work ethic Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with computers to update and log work orders Ability to lift heavy parts Good written and communication skills Freightliner and Detroit experience is a benefit What We Offer Company Paid Benefits after three months (Dental, Extended Health and Vision) Able to participate in RRSP program at 3 months, company matched to a maximum of $1500.00 after one year Uniforms provided Flexible hours Monday to Friday day shift Come join our dynamic team today! The mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of trucks and trailers through preventative and scheduled maintenance. They will also perform general vehicle repairs and document repairs on work orders as required.

Candidates must hold a Truck and Trailer (Heavy Duty) Mechanic License and possess a cooperative team player attitude. Experience with computers and the ability to lift heavy parts are also required.
