We are seeking for a qualified, multidisciplinary, and motivated person for the new Ports & Maritime (P&M) Project Manager. This position brings the opportunity to make a strong contribution towards our bold, market disruptive strategy, project delivery and the Transportation Roadmap for the Northwest. The Project Manager will be part of our Canadian and Americas Northwest team, be a key member of the Global P&M Team and play a key role on regional growth by delivering projects, participating in P&M opportunities, and supporting other markets within the Region. You will closely participate in project delivery, development, and growth of our P&M client base, engage in early and middle game sales processes, lead pursuits in and out of the region, provide technical input into projects, mentor junior and mid-level staff, and support operations with project delivery and performance with the goal of growing our P&M business. As primary role, Project Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary project teams to execute and deliver safe technical solutions to agreed standards, scope, on-time, and within budget. You will have established your reputation for the highest standards of service and technical delivery across a broad range of projects. You will support managing our prospect portfolio, sales, and business development activities to deliver sustainable growth, support strategic positioning for specific opportunities, leading the delivery of projects and provide appropriate guidance and mentorship to help develop less experienced team members. You will coordinate project resources and plan tasks and will contribute to our business goals. As a secondary role, you will contribute delivering sustainable growth in line with our business strategy. This involves working closely with our sales and project teams in different verticals within Jacobs to identify how best we can support our clients, building our market position and winning profitable work, and at the same time enhance our offering through market accelerators, including energy transition, digital products and solutions offering. Responsibilities Include Project delivery within a multi-disciplinary and multi-geographic environment. Inter-discipline and inter-office project planning, delivery, and financial performance. Technical leadership and quality management of project deliverables. Technical and professional leadership, support, and development of the team. Support business development and sales activities, including products and solutions for the Ports and Maritime group. Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems. Design safety leadership and developing and maintaining good safety culture. communication with clients and other design team members. Support sales activity to deliver sustainable growth including preparation of proposals. Support strategic positioning for specific opportunities, including sales opportunities and own process and data for pursuits. Support client pursuits managing the operational inputs into bids, developing distinctive value propositions and win plans that and ensuring bid documents are consistent with these. Develop high-quality opportunity-specific response documents with competitive and compelling sales messages to satisfy client business goals. Here's what you'll need A minimum of 5 years of international experience working in the ports and maritime industry, including stakeholder engagement, and implementation of marine terminal projects. Relevant bachelor’s or advanced degree in related disciplines. P.E. and/or P.Eng. or the ability to obtain within 12 months. Understanding of the port and terminal market and trends, including automation/autonomy, electrification, decarbonization, resiliency and sustainable solutions. Proven experience managing projects, leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Progressive ability to technically manage maritime projects, including preparation of project deliverables, managing quality, program, and resources. Experience in engineering design of maritime structures, marine cargo terminal development and operations. A maritime related specialty experience is a plus. Experienced in working within teams within fast-paced environment. Familiar with the development and commercialization of products and services, and comfortable selling these products and services to our clients. Ability and willingness to network throughout the Jacobs organization, nationally and internationally, to deliver the best results for our clients, our staff, and our projects, Strong organizational, management and research skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Experience in strategy development, business development, and sales. Good commercial, financial and process understanding. Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication, and report writing skills Strong attention to detail and an ability to establish and meet deadlines/budgets. Good interpersonal and organizational skills to lead meetings, facilitate and build relationships across operational and sales teams Competency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Expertise on specific engineering software is a plus. The ability to travel within Canada and the US. Posted Salary Range Minimum 93,000.00 Posted Salary Range Upper 135,000.00 The base salary range for this position is $93,000.00 to $135,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
