Reference Number: 31962 Jardeg is recruiting Structural Ironworker Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team for a project at SUNCOR Firebag site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Shift Rotation is 6 days on 1 day off, 12 hours/day from September 9 until October 5, 2026. Camp accommodations and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) provided by the company. Some of the required safety tickets costs will be covered.** Responsibilities They erect structural steel components, install conveyors and robotic equipment, and sometimes perform reconstructive work on existing structures. Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process. Must possess a Structural Ironworker Journeyperson ticket or apprenticeship card and a valid Class 5 Driver's License. Requires multiple safety certifications including CSO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and H2S Awareness.
