Position Summary: JCL Medical Billing is currently looking for a motivated and detail oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to show initiative, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and excellent time management skills. Responsibilities: Accurately enter OHIP and Non-OHIP claims across different software platforms Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries Review Ministry of Health documentation regarding changing billing code rules and requirements Investigate and resubmit errored and denied OHIP claims, initiate Remittance Advice Inquiries. Monitor MOH responses and engage in follow-up communications to resolve outstanding issues. Review physician billing claims meticulously for completeness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to Ministry of Health submission deadlines. Manage time efficiently and work well under pressure Requirement: Knowledge of health system and medical terminology, diagnostic and OHIP billings codes Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Experience in medical billing is preferred Experience with customer service and data entry is an asset Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems is considered an asset Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing demands Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Power Point) Salary expectations for this role are $22–$28 per hour, based on experience, for approximately 35–40 hours per week.
