Role Description The Manager role at Jean Coutu in Sackville, NB is an on-site position responsible for overseeing daily store operations and ensuring a consistent, customer-focused experience. This role includes supervising and coaching team members, organizing work schedules, and monitoring performance to meet operational and service standards. The Manager supports inventory management, merchandising, and promotional activities, while maintaining compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and relevant regulations. The role also involves collaborating with pharmacy and front-store teams, handling escalated customer concerns, and contributing to sales goals and overall store profitability. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in retail or pharmacy management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. Strong customer service orientation, including skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Proficiency in basic business operations such as scheduling, inventory control, cash handling, and sales reporting. Ability to organize tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and standard office software; ability to learn internal systems quickly. Knowledge of health and safety practices, and willingness to adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on operational needs. Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare retail setting and proficiency in English and French are considered assets.
