JJE is a proud subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation. _____________________________________________________________________________________ TERRITORY SALES REPRESENTATIVE – MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT TERRITORY: Atlantic Canada BRANCH LOCATION: Halifax, Nova Scotia WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shop, Road, Office, Customer Premises EMPLOYMENT TYPE: * 1 NEW OPPORTUNITY * Full-time * Permanent * Monday-Friday SUMMARY: This role is responsible for selling municipal equipment to municipalities and public sector organizations within an assigned territory. The focus is on driving sales growth, expanding market share, and managing the full sales cycle for municipal equipment and related accessories. The position requires strong technical knowledge, proven sales ability, and the capability to recommend effective equipment solutions tailored to municipal operational needs, while building long-term customer relationships and representing the company at industry events. TOTAL REWARDS OVERVIEW: * Base Salary + Guarantee * Group Benefits that are 100% paid for by the Company – inclusive of Health, Dental, Life, Disability and Travel coverage * Vacation & Paid Personal days * Employer Matching Retirement Savings Plan * Equipment Supplied: Company vehicle, Laptop, Cell Phone, Fuel Card ABOUT YOU: * Must have strong verbal and written communication * Strong sales and customer service skills * Strong understanding of sales processes * Self-motivated, results orientated and motivated to exceed targets * Ability to plan and execute assignments with general guidelines and work independently POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: * 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the municipal, vocational, or heavy equipment industry * Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States * Business Diploma or Degree preferred * Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check Experience: * Strong knowledge of and experience in the municipal equipment market * Proven success selling equipment directly to municipalities and public works departments * Demonstrated technical and sales acumen with strong mechanical aptitude * Proficiency with CRM systems POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage all sales activities within the assigned territory, ensuring year-over-year growth aligned with company objectives * Prospect, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing municipal and accounts * Sell municipal equipment directly to end users, providing customized solutions for public works, road maintenance, and municipal operations * Deliver product demonstrations, training, and technical support to customers and internal team members as required * Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events across Canada and the United States * Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Parts, Service) to support technical requirements and post-sale customer needs * Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and territory performance updates * Stay informed on municipal industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies * Other duties and projects as assigned OTHER DETAILS: Travel Expectations: * Up to 90% travel within territory; occasional travel across Canada and the US WHY WORK AT JJE? * Talented, dedicated and passionate team to work with * Exceptional best-in-class products and service offerings for our customers * Charitable Giving Program * Educational Scholarship Program * Tuition Reimbursement * Employee & Family Assistance Program (EAP) * Federally recognized as a certified Employment Equity organization * Member of multiple provincial safety programs and COR certified Our Core People Values: Leadership, Customer Excellence, Integrity, Inspiration, Teamwork, Innovation and Ambition ____________________________________________________________________________________ If you are looking for a new opportunity, then we at Joe Johnson Equipment welcome your application.
