Project Engineer

Engineer to join their collabora6ve team in Victoria, BC. If you bring experience leading the technical

execu6on of complex engineering projects, enjoy working at the intersec6on of engineering and project

(subject to relevant skills, related experience, and educa6on).

What could your day as a Project Engineer hold?

Working in close partnership with a Project Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for leading the

technical planning and execu6on of projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept through to

comple6on. Ac6ng as the technical lead, you will guide engineering efforts, support integra6on, and

represent the organiza6on in technical discussions. More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the technical planning, coordina6on, and execu6on of engineering product development and

delivery projects.

  • Support project success by contribu6ng to schedules, budgets, and scope management from a

technical perspec6ve.

  • Coordinate technical ac6vi6es including effort es6ma6on, task assignment, and progress tracking.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor Engineering Work Orders.
  • Review, coordinate, and approve engineering deliverables including documenta6on, drawings, tes6ng,

and requirements.

  • Lead technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, including par6cipa6on in

design reviews.

  • Support system integra6on efforts and ensure alignment between design, requirements, and delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, iden6fy risks, and resolve technical challenges to keep projects on track.

Our ideal Project Engineer brings:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, So\ware, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent, and PMP

cer6fica6on or formal project management training is an asset.

  • Proven experience leading or coordina6ng technical projects and working with mul6disciplinary

engineering teams.

  • Strong background in project-based technical leadership within so\ware, electronics, or related high-

tech environments.

  • Experience with planning, organizing, and execu6ng complex technical work.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity strategies, networking, or IT systems is considered an asset.
