Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced leader to guide a team of Technical Product Owners driving strategy and innovation across our high-value payments, Swift infrastructure, and sanctions platforms. In this role, you will lead a team of technical product owners, foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, multiple lines of business, and global operational functions, and help accelerate our transformation toward an AI-native Software Development Lifecycle. You will balance near-term delivery with long-term vision, ensuring our technical products evolve incrementally toward our client experience goals while leveraging AI as a strategic enabler.

What will you do?

  • Support Product Strategy & Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology to establish and communicate a compelling long-term product vision while maintaining alignment with near-term roadmap priorities.

  • Translate Business Strategy into Technical Roadmaps: Bridge business objectives and operational needs with technical feasibility and engineering capacity. Guide your team in articulating how strategic initiatives translate into prioritized technical work across payments, SWIFT, and sanctions domains.

  • Lead Team Development: Coach and develop your team of Technical Product Owners, fostering a culture of ownership, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement. Build capability across the team through mentoring, delegation, and targeted development opportunities.

  • Drive AI-Native SDLC Transformation: Partner with transformation leads and your team to evolve and implement an AI-native Software Development Lifecycle. Work iteratively to refine processes, tooling, and practices that enhance effectiveness for product owners, engineers, testers, and AI-assisted workflows.

  • Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders—engineering teams, multiple lines of business, and global operational functions—to identify shared challenges, surface strategic opportunities, and guide the team toward integrated, long-term solutions.

  • Govern Prioritization & Backlog Management: Establish governance frameworks and processes that enable your team to manage complex product backlogs across payments, SWIFT infrastructure, and sanctions domains while balancing strategic initiatives with operational delivery.

  • Foster AI Proficiency: Build your team's capability to leverage AI effectively as an assistant to accelerate product development. Share knowledge, establish best practices, and help the team understand AI capabilities and limitations in the context of product ownership.

  • Drive Outcomes: Hold the team accountable for delivery, quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and progress toward strategic outcomes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or product ownership roles, with proven success in increasingly complex and strategic environments.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing teams.
  • Deep experience working in Agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, or hybrid approaches).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and coach team members, strong delegation and mentoring skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking: ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term vision and guide teams through transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in financial services, payments systems, SWIFT, or sanctions environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy and operational requirements into technical roadmaps and actionable engineering priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills; proven ability to influence across functions and geographies.
  • Experience managing complex, high-stakes product domains (e.g., payments, financial infrastructure, regulatory/compliance-driven environments).
  • Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and potential applications in software development and product management.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Background in transformation or process optimization initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and understanding of prompt engineering or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience scaling product teams or building product organizations.
  • Familiarity with multiple agile frameworks (SAFe, Lean, Design Thinking).
  • Technical background or fluency with APIs, data formats, and system architecture.

What’s in it for you?
We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • A world-class training program in financial services
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
  • Access to a variety of job opportunities across business and geographies
