Position Overview
CFT Group is seeking an experienced Excavator / Dozer Operator to join our team in Stittsville. This role is ideal for a highly skilled operator with 5–10+ years of experience in demanding environments such as heavy civil, mining, pipeline, recycling, or large-scale material handling operations. The successful candidate will be confident operating equipment safely and efficiently, working independently, and contributing to the continued growth and development of our yard operations.

Starting Wage: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience, skill, and overall fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and dozers safely and efficiently to move, load, sort, and process materials
- Support the ongoing development, organization, and productivity of our yards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and production expectations
- Work closely with the team to achieve daily operational goals
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of hands-on excavator and/or dozer operating experience
- Experience in industries such as heavy civil, mining, pipeline, recycling, or similar high-production environments is required
- Experience operating a 16–22 ton excavator with a vehicle-dismantling attachment is required
- Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and job site awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to Stittsville and other locations within the city as required
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and team-first attitude
