About the role
We are looking for a Quality Technician to join the Jokey North America team!
The Jokey Group consists of 14 production sites in 11 countries, employing over 2,500 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries. We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items. Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.
This position is on a set continental schedule. The position is night shift, and the hours are 6:00pm to 6:00am.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise pulling of production samples at the appropriate times;
- Measure production sample circumference and weight;
- Conduct leakage tests, and thickness tests;
- Input quality data to the ERP (i.e. circumference, weight, leakage, wall thickness);
- Inform the production supervisor and quality supervisor of non-conformities are detected.
- Direct processing of non-conforming product,
- Sort blocked product when not appropriate for production to sort;
- Stop production of articles with insufficient quality or food safety risk
- Audit of production processes
- Ensure safe work practices at all times;
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with gauges and other measuring devices
- Organizational skills
- Good math skills
- Good computer skills
- Proven communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000 – Food Safety Management Systems
