About the Position
Position TitleOffice Receptionist
Job Type Full Time, Temporary - 35 hours per week (8 weeks)

Reports to Manager, Employment & Career Development
Position Overview
The Summer Student Receptionist will perform front-desk duties and provide general administrative support to the employment team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Client Service and Front Desk Support
- Greet and direct clients
- Answer and route calls and emails
- Assist clients in accessing relevant TIES programs based on their needs
- Maintain a welcoming, clean, and tidy lobby and waiting area
Administrative and Office Support
- Provide general administrative support (filing, scanning, data entry, reporting)
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining office equipment and supplies
- Assist in inventory and asset management
- Assist in employment programs’ intake processes
- Assist in conducting client follow-ups for registration and post-program completion

Requirements / Qualifications
- High school diploma or current enrollment in college/university
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age as per the requirements of the Canada Summer Job Grant.
- These positions are contingent on funding through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
- Applicants must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally allowed to work in Canada.
- Experience with non-profit organizations is an asset
- Knowledge of conflict resolution and problem-solving in group settings
- Awareness and sensitivity to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, Windows OS, and virtual platforms (e.g., Skype, Zoom)
- Comfortable using technology, including MS Office, internet, and websites
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
