We are seeking a Temporary Full-time (6 weeks Contract) educational assistant for Grade 5
JOB DESCRIPTION
Providing learning support for a student. Working with the homeroom and specialist teachers to ensure that the student reaches the learning goals set in their individual education plan.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support students reading, writing, and math goals.
- Help students to learn additional social skills.
- Support the student to self-regulate their feelings.
- Work with the teacher on a collaborative team.
- Support the teacher in helping the student to form effective relationships with other students.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 1 years of experience working with special needs learners.
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated general knowledge of curriculum and instruction for younger learners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various routine tasks, duties, and procedures and the ability to follow specific instructions.
- Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
Job Type: Temporary Full-time (6 weeks Contract)
Pay: $4,500.00 per month
Flexible language requirement:
- English not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- EA: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Education Assistants Certificate (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- 8760 No. 5 Road, Richmond, BC V6Y 2V4 (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: Immediately
