As a part of our Quality Control team, you will use your heavy haul transport experience to make sure that our trailers are ready to work. You will speak up on behalf of our customers, and work on a team that builds products you can be proud of.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 8 truck to tow a range of specialized trailers within Leduc County.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional testing of all trailer systems and components.
  • Advocate for customers by identifying potential defects and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Report product issues and notify the appropriate team leader when corrective action is required.
  • Coordinate equipment and workflow to support manufacturing schedules and customer delivery timelines.
  • Utilize Aspen’s mobile app–based inspection checklist to accurately document findings.
  • Capture and upload as-built trailer photographs.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Transport loads within the facility/site.
  • Support the loading of components onto trailers for transport.
  • Ensure all transport equipment (Class 8 truck, flatbeds, etc.) is properly maintained and operated safely.

Attributes and Skills

  • Experience with Aspen products (operation, service, manufacturing, or sales) is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment components is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills within a customer-focused environment.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, email, calendar management, and document preparation.
  • Professional, composed demeanor in high-pressure or challenging situations.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and communicate recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 Drivers License with a clean and safe driving record (required).
  • Must have Heavy Haul Experience for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience working with steel fabrication is an asset.
  • Experience with the system we use (Visual Manufacturing from Infor) would be an asset.
  • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic mechanical systems is an asset
  • Overhead crane certificate experience would be an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Located in the Leduc shop and operating both indoors and outdoors.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - fitness test required.
  • Standing on your feet for a long period of time.
  • Have good eye to hand coordination.
  • Regular fast pace or work with tight deadlines.
  • A medium to high stress environment due to timelines.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor climbing on, off and under trailers.
  • Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
  • Hazards associated with the industry. Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.

Shift Availability

  • Days - Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
